Senior Assistant Psychologist
Atlanta graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2019 with an Upper Second-Class Honours degree in Psychology with Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies. She subsequently completed a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology, achieving a Merit classification.
Atlanta has gained extensive experience in the mental health and forensic psychology field, including work as a Therapeutic Support Worker in residential settings, where she supported individuals experiencing mental health challenges. For over four years, she has held the role of Assistant Psychologist, further developing her clinical skills and professional expertise.
Her competencies include the delivery of one-to-one psychological interventions, provision of psychologically informed training, completion of psychological assessments and reports, and the supervision and support of staff in adopting therapeutic approaches, with a particular focus on Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). Atlanta has experience working with individuals presenting with learning difficulties, harmful sexualised behaviour, Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), and behaviours that challenge.
In addition, Atlanta is an accredited hypnotherapist. This qualification has enhanced her ability to support both staff teams and young people in areas such as stress management, resilience building, compassion fatigue, and emotional regulation.
