Jacob Wedmore

Assistant Psychologist

Jacob graduated from Swansea University in 2023 with a First-class honours degree in Psychology. He then went on to complete a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health, achieving a Distinction.

Jacob has worked in a variety of roles supporting individuals with their mental health, including an adult residential setting and a crisis helpline service. More recently, Jacob worked as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist within the NHS, gaining experience delivering 1-to-1 post-diagnostic support and group-based psychoeducation for autistic adults.

Within his current role, Jacob works within children's residential care settings, conducting psychological assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, as well as training to staff teams. Alongside his work at DGF, Jacob also supports young people within youth work settings, promoting them to develop their skills and positive relationships.
