Katie Jones
Assistant Psychologist
Katie graduated from Cardiff University in 2016 with an upper-class honours degree in Criminology and Sociology. She worked for two years in social services before moving into counter terrorism policing. She returned to Cardiff University to complete a Masters in Psychology, and graduated in 2022 with a distinction.
Katie has previously worked as an Assistant Psychologist within HMP Parc, helping people in prison to improve their mental wellbeing through 1-1 therapeutic interventions and small group work. She worked with people with traumatic brain injuries, neurodiversities, learning difficulties and problems with substance use. She has also worked as an Assistant Psychologist with the ADDER Project, assisting people with dual diagnosis of substance use difficulties and mental health difficulties. Katie is currently studying a Forensic Psychology Master’s degree with Derby University.
